BTS Countdown FREEBIE #2

Here are two more good freebies that you may find useful in your classroom as you start up the school year!

#1:
This one is from a fellow Texan (KTP)! This is a great number of the day resource that you can use for calendar time/ morning work.  I love that she offers the numeral version and the word form version.  I could see myself switching back and forth between the two to help my kids be able to switch back and forth.

#2:
Who doesn't love a cute chevron? It's so versatile and can go with lots of classrooms even if you don't necessarily have a "chevron theme". Here are some super cute class rules from Anchored in Learning:

Hope you guys enjoy! Stay tuned for the next freebies:)

Back to School Countdown FREEBIE

Well, since school is starting back very, very soon (dun dun duuuunnnnnn), I've decided to share some awesome back to school freebies that my TPT colleagues are offering until school starts. All of the items that I will be featuring will be FREE, so make sure that you visit my blog frequently to get the goods. I will try my best to have a new freebie 3-4 times a week up until school starts.

Here we go!

Numero UNO:

This is a fabulous EDITABLE parent conference form. Who doesn't love editable things?! There are forms to give parents, thank you notes, and sign in sheets. Super cute!  Emily from Third in Hollywood put a lot of work into these.  Click on the image to download the freebie in her store.

Numero DOS:

This one is awesome! I will be using these in my room this year.  As teachers, we all know that students learn different ways, but do the students know that they learn in different ways? I think this is something that I have taken for granted.  I just assume that they know they are different and unique and I sometimes assume that they know that it is a GOOD thing.  I think these posters will be an awesome way to show my students that unique is good and they will be a great reminder for me.  I want to keep them up in my room all year!

These are from Two Nutty Teachers and you can download their posters by clicking on the picture below.

Hope y'all enjoy these.  I know I will.  Stay tuned for more featured products in the next few days!

Feeling Conflicted

Anybody else feeling conflicted about ready to start a new year, but not ready to given up their Summer yet? The nerdy-love-to-buy-school-supplies, can't-wait-to-decorate-my-room part of me is chomping at the bits. BUT, the like-to-sleep-late, like-to-sit-at-coffee-shops-midday part of me is kicking and screaming for more time.

I'll be in a new school and new grade level this year, so I've been spending a good amount of time making decorations for my room.  I've fallen in love with just about any navy/ coral combination I can find.  I also have been on a nautical kick recently, so I just combined the two.  I'm not a painter AT ALL.  My artistic flair comes out in digital creations, however, I had some old metal bookends I painted to go with my room. Oh, and some mason jars:)

I also made some of those paint bucket stools I've seen all over Pinterest (pics to come). They were super easy and thanks to my hubby's job, I got the buckets for free! Free is always good in my book.

Speaking of free, here are some of the signs I made for my classroom.  You can have them if you'd like.  Just click HERE.

Well, I'm off to do some laundry!

About Me

I love teaching.  I love the impact that I can make on a child's life. On their mind.  I love how mold able they are. How non-judgemental they are.  Their eagerness. Though I have many fabulous adult friends in my life that teach me so much, the way my students teach me never ever ceases to amaze me.
I believe that God graciously gives each individual gifts and I believe that one of mine is teaching.  He has given me a heart for children. Just as Christ has shown me love, I strive to show love to my students.

More about me:

My wonderful husband and I have been married for 4 years this year! Here we are:

I love love love coffee.... possibly too much.

I was born and raised in Georgia, but now I'm a Texan!

I love to play the violin.  It allows me to relax and express my love for God in a way that nothing else does.
